Impressive animation festival KROK, which occurs in the summer, has already become the most favorable festival among the cinema fans.  Firstly impresses the event's atmosphere, while the whole activity takes place at the ship, which sails down the Dnipro river and also down the Black see and Volga river. So the atmosphere is warm and democratic - the professionals exchange their experience between each other, the newcomers have possibility to see many good modern animation films. Besides the master-classes and viewings there are lot of fun and different entertainments, which are organized by the guests and masters of the fest. Quit possible that the limits between the world of children and adults became transparent and relative - so that adults acts as children and this doesn't look as it would be an extravagance.

The Festival is a common project of Ukraine and Russia. In Ukraine the President's post belongs to David Cherkasskiy, who is the author of such famous animation films as "The adventures of captain Wrungel" and "The Wings". In the Russia it is famous animator Eduard Nazarov. 

There are three categories in the competition program:

• Student films, produced  during their education,
• Diploma,
• First profession work, produced after the graduating.

By that time KROK is the single animation festival at the CIS (the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States). This is really unique event of creative cooperation of Ukrainian and Russian cinematography.
